His wife stood by him when he made the announcement and now when he announced his resignation. Its such a tough time for her and their three teenaged children, who were looked upon as children of the Governor of NY, and today as the children of the governor who was involved in prostitution scandal.
I sometimes wonder what is that weakness which makes a person do something which can jeopardize everything he has.
Surprisingly I am not having any opinion about this whole situation. Normally I would have judged him as a loser who did something which was so not suitable for any man with wife and children.
I am failing to understand the circumstances under which he solicited the company of those “escorts”. Was he a weak man who succumbed to the humanly pleasures or he considered himself above law and thought he would never get caught.
There were mixed responses from public all over NYC. A woman was very furious and questioned how can a governor do something like this, and another woman said if she were his wife then may be she would have stood next to him as his wife did and have a big fight at home.
Whichever way I think his political career is over. He and his family will take a long time to heal.
